Vauxhall Astra gears dont engage
Variant: 1.4
Model Year: 2016
When changing down gears, the car will not go into any gear, so effectively car is in no gear when driving. If stop the car, take foot of clutch then restart, it goes into gear no problem. Intermittent problem so works fine when goes to garage. Manual gearbox.

It's nearly impossible to diagnose intermittent faults like this unless you can replicate the problem . Even road testing wont help if it doesn't do it . Possibly clutch worn and / or centre plate sticking , total guess
