Vauxhall Astra clutch sticking to the floor. rattle when in neutral.

Car: Vauxhall Astra
Variant: SRI
Model Year: 2016
Categories: Gearbox & Clutch
RAC drove me back to an approved garage after I could no longer get into gear and clutch was stuck to the floor. They changed by gearbox under warranty.. Around 25 miles after this, began the "Clutch rattle" and still sticking of the clutch and not so easy slide into 1st and Reverse.

After two garages turning me away, denying this is anything bad, Thurlow Nunn ran a health check and turns out Fly Wheel needs changing. This can't be covered by the warranty but this sounds like a recurring problem with this make and model, so probably should be covered..?!

All this starting at 48,000 miles...?!

If it was a fault it wouldn't take 48,000 miles and 6 yrs to develop . On any car I was changing the gearbox on I would always advise the customer to get the clutch assembly checked and replaced as needed whilst the gearbox was already out , especially if it was a DMF ( dual mass flywheel ). This would save the customer a bit of money
