Vauxhall Astra car gets stuck in first gear

Variant: 1:6
Model Year: 2010

On several occasions my Astra has become stuck in first gear. This will usually happen if I’m sat at a red light & then when I go to set off it will not move out of first. I have had a new clutch fitted but the problem is still there. Has anyone any ideas what else it could be? Thanks

Could be a hydraulic fault , fault with the fitting of new clutch , clutch plate sticking , wear on gear linkage , gear shifter cables .
