Vauxhall Astra clutch pedal drop after engine stall
Variant: 1.7 cdti 16v ecoflex sri

When the engine has stalled for no reason On restarting the engine shudders and shakes for a time until it restarts again but then the clutch pedal has dropped and has to be lifted by foot to get a clutch pedal back up and the is fine until the next stall. Any ideas ? (I recently bought an astra and have same problem) would have been nice for person I bought it of to be honest and not just take my money.

Could be the DMF (dual mass flywheel ) and clutch assembly which is a common fault . Unfortunately there are and always have been many dishonest people in the motor trade who only care in getting your cash
