Went through a pothole at about 20 mph...a loud thud. now when driving off in first gear...doing over 2000 revs, and changing into second gear...there is a strange crunching sound. but being in third, fourth or fifth is fine!! any ideas???

could be anything but i would suggest that t
you take it to a garage and have the gearbox checked with you saying the noise is there in the first few gears
