With a 10 yr old car I would stick to the recommended oil and not get involved with any others . Todays oils are fine for most needs . Any normal wear or tear on engine will already have taken place . Oils have improved vastly in the last 10 or so years and do not really need additives and such . Only high performance vehicles really need specialised oils .
