Vauxhall Astra loss of power
Variant: 1.4 sxi
Model Year: 2007
early morning start, my foot flat to the floor for between 5 and 10 seconds, its like no petrol getting through for this period of time, once I'm able to rev the engine again its fine all day, also idling speed has reduced almost as if its going to stall
any advise would be appreciated

Try changing the engine cooling temp sensor , lets the engine ECU know how much fuel required . ie, richer when cold and then leans out as temp increases
