Vauxhall Astra possible astra ignition problem.

Car: Vauxhall Astra
Variant: 1.6 Elite Auto
Model Year: 2013
Categories: Electrics, ECU, Warnings & Lights
Hi. I have a 2013 Astra 1.6 Elite Auto and when I turn the engine off and leave the keys in the ignition after a minute or so the engine sounds like it's trying to start. This happens pretty much every time. If I remove the keys from the ignition straight away the problem doesn't happen. There are no error codes or warning lights on. Had a diagnostic check done and shows nothing. Any ideas would be good. Dave

Does sound like an ignition switch or wiring fault , probably the former

Thanks for that. I was thinking along the same lines. Would that not show up on diagnostic check.

Doubt that it would show on an ordinary scanner check , often doesn't throw a fault code , but possible .
