Vauxhall Astra possible sensor issue

Since last night, the car alarm keeps blaring every few minutes. Upon investigation this morning, a message keeps showing that the bonnet is open but everything is shut.
Seems like a sensor issue. any suggestions as I will be unable to take it to dealer till next week

Bonnet catch sensor fault is very common on a lot of different makes also .On some cars the micro switch is part of the bonnet lock and you can disconnect or bridge the switch out as a temp measure . Occasionally a software update from dealership rectifies this also .But with car under warranty , best leave alone if possible and let them resolve it .

any ideas if driving a lot will help resolve it?

The only way it could possibly resolve it would be if your car battery was low and driving it boosted the battery IF this was what triggers alarm .I have heard of some cars where a low battery did set off car alarm and also lowered windows when left overnight .

Could try spraying with wd40 and closing the bonnet as may just be a sticky micro switch
