Vauxhall Astra power and speedo loss

Low revs or coasting , pressure leaves accelerator , car grinds to a halt.Speedo. Drops out . Car restarts on ignition . Slight jerking as if a blockage or gears not kicking in . Does it need new gear box ? 130 k miles , about 9k miles a year.

Not sure from your information,could it be just a misfire from the engine or are you losing drive from the gearbox.?
