Vauxhall Astra loss of power

Car: Vauxhall Astra
Variant: 1.6 manual
Model Year: 2013
My 2013 Astra 1.6 has intermittent power loss. I'll be driving and it will suddenly go slow. I then have to change down to second gear and limp home. Luckily I've been close to home each time. The next day It will be ok. I've had it scanned at a local garage and they cannot find the fault. Would a Vauxhall dealership be more likely to find the fault?
It's manual. Anybody had this problem with an Astra?

Intermittent faults are very hard to find , especially if it cant be replicated on testing . Could be the coil pack which is a common fault but as above reply , usually fault code stored . Vauxhall Tech 3 / diagnostic equipment IS far superior for retrieving fault codes on your car . If replacing the coil pack , use a genuine Vauxhall part as many cheap imports are notorious for failing .
