Vauxhall Astra loss of power & jolts

Car: Vauxhall Astra
Variant: Astra Sri Cdti 150
Model Year: 2007
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
When driving at 30 miles pre hour , sometime the car will jolt along like a kangaroo back & forward . The speedometer goes to zero & when you press the brakes they are stiff also it makes a high pitch noise . The abs light does come on but goes off again .
It does need two new tyres on the front as are badly worn. Would this be causing the problem? No grip setting off the sensor

Sounds like you have umpteen faults . You could change the fuel filter , replace the tyres and check the brake servo and hose . Tyre losing grip can can cause ABS light to come on .
