Vauxhall Astra no indicator/seatbelt/door open warning sound & no radio/computer display

Car: Vauxhall Astra
Variant: 1.6 ELITE
Model Year: 2010
Categories: Electrics, ECU, Warnings & Lights
Hi,

I switched on my car tonight as normal and the computer display screen switched on fine as it usually does, the iPod started playing and it was all going great for about twenty seconds until suddenly the screen went entirely black and I could no longer switch it on by pushing the button in. It's just black, no sat nav, no radio, nothing.
I noticed a little while later that the indicators, although working absolutely fine, are not doing the little tick-tock noise (sorry, I am NOT a car person, I don't know if that sound has a more technical name!) and if seatbelts aren't plugged in or the doors open while the engine is running, there aren't any sounds for that anymore either.
Everything else seems fine.

Does anyone have any ideas? I have had the fuses checked and it doesn't look like those.
Thank you, I'm at a loss.

Sounds like your battery is low and needs charging or possibly replacing . On some cars when this happens non essentials are cut off to preserve power . Suggest you get your battery tested . Most fast fit or good accessory shops usually do FOC. If that is the cause , a quick test of alternator output also wont go wrong .Simple test .

I get the same issue, usually on a cold day or damp day. After 5 mins on the road it all comes to life.

I'll get my battery checked and feedback on the results.
