Vauxhall Astra gear box problem

I Have only had my car for eleven months, I Bought it on January of this year,after having it for a week or so the service light was on which the sales manager said he would get fixed, so i arranged to take it to the garage,,after checking it on the machine it was found to have damaged glow plugs,a while after that i had a strange noise which they called the turkey noise?? cos it sounded like a turkey,,now having had the car for ten months the turkey noise has gone and its a whirring noise im getting and i took it to a local garage only to find oout that the main shaft in the gear box has gone and needs replacing,,i didnt take out any extra warranty with the car but was wondering if i have any comeback against the dealer or with the finance company,,any help woould be appreciated...
