Vauxhall Astra not reversing

My car when put in reverse Will not move. It revs low but no motion. I have been smelling petrol coming from my air vents too. Plus when at junction or even setting of from park my car revs high or wheel spins!.

seek advise from an autobox specialist. It may be a simple fix like having box fluid changed but may also be a problem with solenoids or shift selector position switch
