Vauxhall Astra auto headlights not turning off

Car: Vauxhall Astra
Variant: 1.6 design, petrol, manua,l 5 door
Model Year: 2008
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
I fitted an aftermarket car stereo yesterday, and since then, the auto feature for the headlights has stopped working, and the headlights stay on regardless of how bright the daylight is.

During the installation of the stereo, I couldn't get it to work so checked fuses etc., and one fuse reset the dashboard display. To correct the dashboard display, you have to have the original stereo fitted, and use the settings button to alter values and save them. Have I done something wrong here?

I don't know if I have or if this is a common problem and would like to know if it is easy to fix?

i would think you will require an adapter kit for your new stereo to allow display to be set contact your supplier or stero manufactuer for information on this
