Vauxhall Astra head light glare

Car: Vauxhall Astra
Variant: 1.7 Estate
Model Year: 2005
Categories: Electrics, ECU, Warnings & Lights
I have a problem, being short the hieght that my mirrors are at for me to see is at the hieght of the big SUV's head lights.
The new head lights the ultra bright ones totally kill my eyes.
Is there a film that I can put on the mirrors that will stop this glare? I bought one of the anti glare mirrors, the blue tint ones and that is no good, it just made there lights even more blue.
Any help would be great.
