Vauxhall Astra radio goes off when engine starts

My radio and CD work fine until I turn the ignition on and start the engine. It then plays for a second or two, then it beeps and goes off. The speakers are still working (crackling).
When I open the door with the ignition off, the radio comes back on.
Any help would be great.

Is it an aftermarket unit you have fitted if so your feed to the unit is incorrect

i had the exact same problem in my old honda and it was caused by the wiring harness, i remember snipping one of the wires sorted it but its defo just wired wrong,bring it to an auto electrican
