Vauxhall Astra lots of smoke after idling for a few minutes

Car: Vauxhall Astra
Variant: 1.6 auto
Model Year: 2005
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
The car had a full service last week, but now the oil light has come on and there is quite a lot of bluish/grey smoke after the engine has been idling for a few minutes.
Any advice would be grateful.

sounnds like the valve stem rubbers a worm or one may have become detached this means that there is a small amount of oil seeping into the bores and burning of that causes the smoke you should also check what oil was used in the service and check it is as recomended in the hand book it may need to be changed
