Vauxhall Astra car makes an occaisional sqwelching noise on acceleration or decleration.

Someone suggested a suspension problem, it is not the suspension. Any other suggestions?

If it only happens occasionally, then make sure that there is not any air locks in the cooling system, as this can make a squelching noise. Try bleeding the system to eliminate this...

you could check the engine and gear box mounts these would move on acceleration and the noise could be a sighn of wear or a dry bush
but only a geuse
