Vauxhall Astra occaisional sqwelching noise whilst driving

Car: Vauxhall Astra
Variant: 1.7 diesel sxi cdti 100 57 plate
Model Year: 2007
The car seems to make a sqwelching type noise, i think it happens on acceleration or deceleration and only happens now and then. I am sure its nothing serious but its very annoying and want to sort it if anyone knows what it could be. Cheers.

Hi bogbrush, i`m guessing really, but it could be suspension related-possibly a dry or worn mounting or bush.
Try bouncing each corner of the car and see if you hear anything or try checking underneath to see if there is any play in the suspension components or the anti-roll bar bushes.
Best of luck

It is nothing to do with the suspension. I think it maybe a disengaging of the clutch or accelerator or something along those lines if thats possible?
