Only does it when ease off accelerator, when foot down no noise, when clutch in no noise, or if put in neutral and coast no noise, no problem selecting gears and no loss of power

Sounds like diff bearings noisy on over run

It's front wheel drive so wouldn't have a diff would it, been told its probably gearbox on way out, but it goes into all gears fine

It doesn't matter if diff bearings , driveshaft bearings , layshaft bearings , whatever you want to call them , it needs stripped down to examine and replace as needed
