Vauxhall Agila interior lights not working

Car: Vauxhall Agila
Variant: 1L Expression
Model Year: 2009
Categories: Electrics, ECU, Warnings & Lights
I am aware the car may be bottom spec but as far as I can tell this is one feature I am meant to have. When I put the interior light on door setting the light does not turn on when door is opened however the dash light does turn on. The light works since I can use the fully on function. Also, I have replaced the boot light and was wondering if that could be connected to a similar issue as I've not seen that work. If someone can tell me which fuses I need to look at if it sounds like a fuse or if they can direct me to the fix if there is one... Or is this another piece of a car that is a luxury for the higher spec models?

There may be a courtesy light switch on the door frame or body which is faulty , on most cars nowadays the micro switch is part of the lock assembly

Is this part of another system or is it part of the same system that turns the light on the dash on?
