Vauxhall Agila slow start

Car: Vauxhall Agila
Model Year: 2001
when i start the car in the morning it tends to move extremely slowly almost at walking pace regardless how much i step on the accelerator. I found though that on two ccasions after about 10-15 minutes of doddling along i switched the car off then immediately switched it back on again & it took off alright. There is a light thats on on the dashboad which indicates there is a fault. What could the reason behind this?

Possibly a crank sensor fault, but if the warning light is on there will be a trouble code stored and you should go to a garage and let them plug into it.
