Hi the car was running just fine yesterday, went to start it, and the car was just dead. So tried again, it started this time but I had problems with the parking brake temporarily unavailable, ABS light was on, the clutch pedal was unresponsive and could push it to the floor without it disengaging so could not change into any gear, the N/S window came down on its own and lots of warning info on the dash. any help would be great seems like some kind of computer glitch. Thanks

First thing I would do was check your car battery voltage and dependent on findings ,,either charge or replace if needed . A faulty battery can cause all sort of problems similar to what you have .

sorry I have posted this wrong forum.
The Car Is a Vauxhall Insignia.
Thanks for the advice, I will get onto that in the morning, I don't have a battery tester only a voltmeter, but its going in for a service soon so I'll get the Mechanic to give it the once over

Check your battery voltage with volt meter after lying overnight . A reading between 12. 4 volts to 12.7 volts will be fine

Hi again well I found the gear box/clutch issue, the spring that returns the clutch peddle had popped out of it's notch so I pulled the peddle up and it just popped back in.
The battery voltage is 12.42V, there are no warning lights anywhere to be seen, I have no clue why this happened.
I do have a rudimentary knowledge of the workings of cars, I used to be a paint sprayer so you pick things up over the years, but I am at a complete loss has to where all these warnings came from. The only thing I can think of is it had something to do with a sensor on the clutch or clutch peddle if there is one, but that's just a guess.
The car now starts as it did runs perfectly fine. Weird.
Thanks for the help/info :)

I just realized what probably caused all the problems with the car it's an ecoflex so when you stop at traffic lights the engine turns off if your foot is not on the clutch. Then you press the clutch to start the engine, so due to this spring that fell out of its notch this totally confused the the eco sensor. Not quite so weird after all. So it had to be a computer glitch has the onboard computer didn't understand the commands it was being sent.
Up their thinking down their for dancing :)
