Hello I want to change my transmission fluid on a yaris 2013 1.2 but has no dip stick " iv changed transmission fluid on cars before without a dip stick because I had instructions but cant find anything for the yaris so don't know were the over flow is ' thanks
Hi and thanks unfortunately wrong engine this one has a dipstick mine is a sealed auto box' so no indication at all about the condition of the fluid.book says never needs changing I always take no notice of that because it eventually breaks down as you know " cant even check the colour of the fluid to see if theres been a colour change 'the last one i did like this was on a 206 pug and had to put the fluid in from underneath but it had an over plug so was easy but this yaris has about 4 nuts and dont want to use the wrong one just Incase i do damage " thanks again and know you understand what im saying because you have helped me a few times before as well as hundreds of others " tony
No sorry again wrong engine it has a dip stick for replacing the transmission fluid " I can see its a 2015 and would think it would be the same but totally different and i can see its anticlockwise to tighten the nuts on the gear box sump " iv tried to get a Haynes book but there is none and cant find anything about the gear box "looks like its a Toyota job and I always like to sort out my own cars servicing and repairs ' the car drives well and changes gears well but its more for peace of mind " its actually my wifes car I have the previa which was easy with having a dip stick filler " thanks again for your time looking for me " tony
Thanks will down load and have a good read .thanks again "tony

There's got to be a way for refilling it , be it a plug , through a reverse light switch , a breather or some thing else . But too dodgy loosening any plugs on side of gearboxes when not certain what exactly they are , Hope you get the info with download . Another alternative is to give any local auto specialists a call and ask them but some are not always helpful .
