Toyota Yaris wheel nuts

Took my wifes alloy wheel off her car to take for a new tire tomorrow so fitted her space saver wheel which is steel' but im not happy using the alloy wheel nuts on a steel rim .she will be driving 10 miles to work and back again on public 30 miles an hour roads .iv done the nuts very tight .is it ok just for a day ? The space saver came with the car from new and had never been used before' im not happy about it im i worring for nothing ' thanks and I know its only an opinion and at the end of the day its up to me .

Can understand your concerns but should be o.k ..The wheel is only intended to get you to a garage for repair though . You should also not overtighten .

Thanks I thought the same .but would be happier if they supplied steel wheel nuts with the space saver wheel if the car comes with alloy wheels as standard ? tomorrow I will buy a set and keep with her wheel .my honda jazz doesn't even come with a spare wheel just a can of puncture repair ' im old school and will be getting a space saver with steel wheel nuts . won't be using a silly spray can lol ' thanks for your reply

I hate those inflation kits , never work if tyre seal on rim is broken . Any new car myself or a family member buy we always check to see if a " real " wheel is available as an option . Remember years back I had a set of both wheel nuts in one car for this problem with the spare .

Totally agree and did buy wheel nuts for a steel rim ' manufacturers should supply the nuts " they must realise ?
