Toyota Hilux engine noise gone loud

changed wheel bearings a week ago. had a rattly noise yesterday that stopped now engine its gone really loud.dnt go over 50 mph. accelerating makes it worse. have checked exhaust. engine isnt wobbling. got any ideas of what i could check? no oil leaks. gears ok.

Check the crankshaft pulley hasn’t come loose and isn’t wobbling about. This is the main large external pulley that drives the fan belt, alternator etc. If you think it’s an internal noise, like worn big-end bearings ; remove the oil filter and open it up to see if there's any metal parts in there.
