Toyota Avensis rearwiper not working properly, it will not switch off

Car: Toyota Avensis
Variant: CDX VVT 1998 c.c.
Model Year: 2001
Categories: Electrics, ECU, Warnings & Lights
Toyota Avensis CDX VVT 1998 c.c. (year 2001) Why does my rear-wiper not switch off when I try to turn it off at the switch - if not an electrical short (along the wiring somewhere), is there a particular relay (in one of the fuse-boxes) that is the likely fault and worth changing? If so, where exactly will I find the faulty relay in question? Please, any other useful ideas and suggestions are welcome.

On some there was a common fault with the motor and water getting on contacts .
