Toyota Auris rattle in steering when driving slow

Rattle in steering when driving in first gear ,like this 2 years now and never fails the test but getting worse need to find out the problem.

Strange it's only on 1st gear . If it was something worn on steering / suspension it would normally affect all gears and you think it would have been picked up on previous MOTs . All I can think off is possible worn engine / transmission mountings as they take up initial load .

I think myself it's something to do with the steering because you can feel it in the steering wheel, only when I'm driving slow though, when I pick up speed it's gone. Desperately wanting to allocate the problem.
