Toyota Auris fuel filter

Hi what is the best ,and easiest way to change my fuel filter,on a 2.2DL lucida estima,will I get air in to the fuel system???,will the car start ok???had an old perkins years ago,if I got air in to the fuel lines,would only start with a tow,in gear with the ignition on,It ok with petrol cars,Have not got a clue with diesel cars,hope some one can help,thanks,tony

Once filter is changed you shouldnt have any problems, it shouldnt need bleeding, as long as you have a decent battery, it might take a few minutes but keep cranking it over( never more than 5 to 10 seconds at a time) and it will pull the diesal thru and is self bleeding, i have an Estima Emina and have done a few filter/oil changes and other bits and not had any problems, just make sure the area round where the filter goes is clean to avoid contamination.
