Suzuki Swift jumping

Car: Suzuki Swift
Variant: 1.3
Model Year: 1999
Categories: Gearbox & Clutch
I was doing 60 down the motor way trying to get up to 70 and the car was struggling, my gear box has recently gone, which is in process of being fixed, am not sure if that effects it or not, but it was jumping abot and struggling to go faster, this only happend once so far. Any ideas what it might be?? my engine is fine, and i cant think what it is....

Get it booked back in straight away. Could be potentially dangerous.

describe jumping ? do you mean engine misfiring the 1.3 swift had very few common problems unless its a gti.i would start with plugs and leads.after that check the noise suppressor as ive had a few fail over the years, easy for me working for suzuki can take bits off another to try.half hour engine tune should locate problem but thats still costly at a main dealer.if stuck post more info on exactly what happens

you say you are having gear box problems and you are in the process of getting the box fixed and its struggling to pick up speed get the gearbox fixed first as this would be the cause of the problem but first things first get the box refurbed there are enougth gearbox refurbers out there to help with your box if problem still persists which it shouldnt then reply on this site with more info thanks tom

Hey. Well heres whats new. Iv fixed my gear box, but guess what it still Jumps. I was doing 70 on the Dual Carriage way, all happy cuz i thought my car was fixed, I lost power and the car was Jumping, kinder like a Judder. Then it was even struggling to do 40. There so no smoke, no Leakage, the engine revs smooth, but the car is struggling to give as much power as it did before. I took it to a near by garage and the car decided to work and not have any problems, and they couldnt figure out what was wrong. They checked the plugs and all that. They really dont know. But if i take it to a Macanic they wont know, cuz it plays up everytime when am alone, so there gonna think am imaginng it, but PROMISE am not. Its really stressing me considering iv payed loads for the gear box. Its in good condition the car its self. It might be something dead simple. But it was really bad today. Guys if you can help, that would be great.
