Ssangyong Tivoli if i leave my tivoli ultimate in my garage for more than two days the battery is flat.

Car: Ssangyong Tivoli
Variant: Ultimaate
Model Year: 2022
Categories: Electrics, ECU, Warnings & Lights
I am retired and I do not use my car every day, but if it is stood in my garage for more than two days and nights, even after an 8o mile round trip the battery is flat, and I have to recharge it in order to start the car. The dealer has examined the car and says that the amount of Technology is causing the problem and that I need to run it more often. I would not dare take a holiday abroad and leave the car at the at the airport as I would be worrying that it wouldn't start on my return. Running the car more often is not helping the environment or my pocket.

Any modern car battery , on any make should be able to hold a charge for a lot more than 2 days when left unused provided it is fully charged and nothing draining the electrics ,

My dad has got the same problem and the answer from the dealer was the same (not the same person though, as we live in the Czech republic). He's had the car for 2 years and the problem reocurrs every now and then. So he got used to recharging the battery often, but this way it might get dead soon we are afraid.

I found this information for a Hyuandai SantaFe and think it might be relevant, as my dad keeps the key in the garage:

It is possible that the key fob being too close to the car is causing one of the computers or modules to stay awake. This can run down the battery. A similar thing happens to C6 Corvettes if the FOB is too close to the car. The module stays awake and discharges the battery over a couple of days. To test this put the fob further away from the vehicle or store it in a metal kitchen cook pot with a metal lid on it. Putting the FOB in a metal pot with a metal lid will keep it from communicating with the vehicle.
