Ssangyong Musso car locks automatically with key fob in proximity - very annoying

The car has the SsangYong canopy installed with the central electronic locking. The car randomly locks automatically when you walk around the back of the car with the key fob. You have to be very careful that you do not put the keys in the back tub and close the window or you risk locking your keys in the car. The dealer can't explain the issue and cannot fix the issue.

With all your posts on Ssangyong faults / grievances I suggest you air your problems and complaints on here ( listed below ) and with your Ssangyong dealership or Ssangyong direct as we are unable to help in resolving the troubles you are having .

I know your issue very well as I locked the keys in the back of mine a few weeks after getting it. It was a nightmare getting the keys and all I can say is that with my addition of a double door steel cage inside the tailgate it makes for a pretty secure vehicle

Not a great idea with the problems it can / does cause to owners .Surprised they cannot fix the issue.
