Car: Ssangyong Musso Variant: Rhino LWB Model Year: 2022

The main headlight bean is dangerously short. Reported to Ssangyong who said as long as it passes an MOT its not their concern. This is a brand new 2022 LWB Rhino.
The lights have been mapped next to a standard car, Toyota Hilux and Ford Ranger, all three other vehciles give a longer and acceptable range.
hoping for a fix i paid for the LED Ssangyong upgrade - not change at all - still the same issue.
Ssangyong are refusing to engange with this safety issue and i have been advised to rasie the case with the Motor Ombudsman.
If anyone has any additional advice or concerns can you please reply.

If it has auto levelling , check that is working o.k If it has manual adjustement check that is set to maximum

Its at the highest legal setting unfortunatley. They tried this at the garage on the MOT tester kit as they saw the beam issue but they cannot change it. It passes the MOT tests but even they guys at the dealership are shocked and the light output. its just unsafe.

So it's the output more than the range , get you now . Surely that's down to the configuration , poor design and set up to the lamp assemblies ?

Forgot to post a reply on this - eneded up having the headlight units replaced to rectify the issue - turns out the units fitted were faulty but Ssangyong refused to take the issue on board! This would not have been done without the dealer carrying out above and beyond tests !! Not great service as normal from Ssangyong!!
