Ssangyong Korando clutch burned out after 5000

Bought this car less than a year old. Had it two days clutch burned out. Under warranty but a clutch should last more then 5000 miles

Totally agree on clutch , must have been some PDI inspection for a clutch to burn out within 2 days of delivery

The dealership were using it as a run around for staff hence the low mileage after a year ( 4800) To be fair to them they organised pick up of the car, a replacement whilst they had it not sure if the clutch is part of the PDI checks

In all dealerships I ran , a road test was part of our PDI on used
vehicles to make sure all was well before customer received their vehicle . A clutch that was burnt out in two days must have shown signs it was on it's last legs that would have been picked up if road tested . As long as you are happy , that's the main thing

I was not happy that it occurred but was very happy with the dealership swift response. however I do take your point and think it should not have happened in the first place
