Skoda Octavia brakes sticking on

Car: Skoda Octavia
Variant: 1.9TDI
Model Year: 2004
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
Had new back brake pistons and front pads, the front brakes occasionlay stick on and the pedal comes up and you just have to touch the pedal to brake sharply , leave it for half an hour and they are OK. Mechanic has checked front calipers and not bad. whats strange is that they stick when not using the breaks lot say short motorway run. gets worse if doing a lot of stop starting.

Check front flexible hoses . If collapsed inside they stop fluid returning and hold brake on .

Assume your mechanic has taken out the pads and given them a clean up and a touch copperslip ?

just to add to what whitinghame said its worth checking the caliper slide pins are not siezed/sticking,worth removing them and putting some copper grease on them
