Skoda Octavia fitting new pads to rear

hi fitting new pads to rear removed old pads . but cannot get the piston to retracted to make way for new pads .is it the handbreak stopping going back in many thanks jim

they probably wind back in and you will need a tool to do this are there dimples in the face of the piston where the pads fit?

i have skoda myself and had the same problem.the piston has to be wound back and not pushed.you will need a special tool for this or as i did make up your own using a socket with shoulders cut in it to fit grooves on piston .
