Skoda Octavia scraping noise when idling and driving

Car was not used for a few months .
Now making a scraping noise when idling in neutral and when driving .
Noise decreases when pressing in clutch

Sounds like it may be the clutch release bearing which is noisy and means removing the gearbox . IF bearing , you are better replacing the clutch assembly as a complete unit / kit .

Would that acçount the the noise when in neutral?

If the bearing is touching / spinning on the pressure plate yes . Without hearing the noise it's really hard to be certain . Sometimes you can feel a worn clutch bearing through your feet . A worn water pump can also give a scraping noise but USUALLY causes a drop in the coolant level
