Skoda Octavia intermitent electrical problem

Car: Skoda Octavia
Variant: 2.0 TDCI VRS
Model Year: 2012
Categories: Electrics, ECU, Warnings & Lights
Multiple lights flash on the dashboard and car goes into limp mode. When car ECU is reset it solves the issue but this keeps returning, has anybody else faced this problem and manged to get it fixed? It was brought from new and is only 7 year old with 52,0000 miles on the clock. We have had skoda look at this who tell us nothing is wrong and 2 more mechanics, who are all unable to give us the answer or resolution to the problem. It has been suggested by different parties, it has something to do with the cambust wiring-would anybody have any suggestions if they have had problems with similar and where we can check the wiring?

Intermittent faults are a real pain ,but can be caused by the simplest of things ,If can network is going down you may have a wiring issue ,a short to ground in the network ,As it’s engine related it’s high speed can side of network I would suspect ,have had similar issues and it’s usually down to wiring getting rubbed through or causing a short ,would have a look round the engine bay at areas where the wiring harness is tight or could be rubbing ,Talking pin hole type stuff so could be difficult to see ,

When scanned , have no codes been retrieved to show what triggered the lights and car going into limp mode ?

There are so many light faults coming up they have not been able to isolate it - Skoda have told us to get rid but we are reluctant as a good car but maybe what we have to do in the end ☹️

That car does suffer from instrument cluster faults that usually start intermittently but over time gradually get worse . Here is an example of some of the symptoms / faults that occur
