Skoda Octavia brake lights

the brake lights come on during the night when the car is parked. Pressing and releasing the bake pedal turns them off but they can come on again later. this ha only happened recently

sounds like your brake light switch is sticking. If you can locate it, give it a spray with wd40, also check the adjuster if there is one.
These things are usually located toward the top of the brake pedal in the drivers footwell. Push the seat right back and get a good lead light.
