Skoda Felicia starting problem

Car: Skoda Felicia
Variant: 1.9 Diesel
Model Year: 1998
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
The engine will turn and almost start but wont. It takes two or three attempts before it finaly decided to fire up. I have noticed that the heater light doesnt seem to go out as quickly.
Could the problem be the heater plugs need replacing.

hi there, sounds like glow plug fault. use test lamp to see if power is feeding plugs when ignition is turned on. if so, then remove plugs and test. if the dont glow red hot within 1-3 seconds they are faulty. hope this helps
