Skoda Fabia front windscreen wash wipe operation

When wash/wipe is selected the wipers make 3 sweeps, then stop for 3/4 seconds before making a 4th and final sweep which can leave smears on the windscreen. Can the wiper mechanism be reprogrammed to remove this 4th sweep ?

Dont think so , same set up on other car makes also .
