Skoda Fabia door open warning light

Car: Skoda Fabia
Model Year: 2009
Categories: Electrics, ECU, Warnings & Lights
My door open warning light won't go off- I assume there is a faulty switch or other fault in the circuit but don't know how to go about isolating the fault. Please could someone give me any advice?

Usually operated by a micro switch which is part of the lock mechanism .Sometimes spraying the into the lock with the likes of WD40 can free off switch .

I’ve had the same issue with my fabia, I’ve replaced the door catch with a new genuine part but the warning light remains with this need plugging in and faults clearing or does this mean it wasn’t the drivers door catch ??
