Below is a report from Seat Boongate and their estimated costs for repair for a car that isn't even 9 years old. A total con.
"Car has loss of drive fault code stored P17BF00 carried out test plan and new mechantronic inspection required, Oil leak around mechantronic/gearbox 1st step is to remove mechantronic unit and inspect gearbox selection and to see how much swarf is on magnets depending on the level of swarf, will require either a new mechatronics unit or a new gearbox. £288."
"Removed mechantronics and inspected to find top left selector fork not operating smoothly has a tight spot compared to the other selectors and gearbox had little amount of oil in it. Advise new transmission /gearbox. £6,814.79."
Surely they could have rounded it up to £7k+??? :)
