Seat Cordoba over reving

Car: Seat Cordoba
Model Year: 1996
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
when driving especially changing gears the engine seems to be over reving. This is only slight but there is a noticeable loss of power. Is this the throttle sliping? if so can i repair this or is it an expensive fix?

Thanks

does the revs go up but no speed when changing gear , if so sounds like your clutch may be slipping , fairley expensive due to age of car .

yes but it does go back to normal very quickly. Could i sort this myself? What causes it?

New clutch needed .It will just get worse the more you use in that condition .
