2017 Seat Ateca anti collision activation when driving normally almost acting like an emergency stop and extremely frightening to occupants

Happened a few times when driving on narrow roads and through road calming chickens.Car shuddered violently and anti collision signal came up on the dash.It was so sudden and violent that it could have caused an accident.

Can you not turn it of temporarily when driving in those circumstances / conditions which activates the system ?
