Rover 800 alarm/central locking

Just bought t reg rover 800si auto, Great car looks and drive, Problem is when i go to lock the car using my fob the car beeps back at me, I have checked the handbook and says it could be doors/bonnet/boot open. I have checked all these but the problem still persists. Can anybody help me!

My Rover 800 had a similar problem, but the immobiliser kept kicking in when the remote fob batteries were low. I changed the batteries and the problem went, not sure if it would solve your problem or not
