2001 Rover 75 fuel feed problem

Car: Rover 75
Year: 2001
Variant: 2.0 diesel club
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
Just changed the secondary fuel pump and everything's gone to pot. Have exceptional difficulty in starting and then when stopped even harder to start. Tried purging the system of air but still having the thing cut out on me at any time. Really need some help on this one.

firstly check the intank pump is working as they often fail, i assume you have renewed the underbonnet pump, if its not the intank pump check fuel flow to the high pressure pump, ideally you need it on a comp to read the low and high pressures. what was the reason for pump change or the symptoms
