2002 Rover 75 reversing sensor

Variant: 2.0 diesel tourer
when engaging reverse. prolonged beep (3-4 seconds)then nothing..
checked the manual which said this is a garage problem, but was hoping i might be able to rectify it myself with some advice..

This should help you with possible faults on wiring , sensors , earth etc.

the most common problem would be a faulty sensor, if factory fitted you should be able to access the faults in the system
